When any work is not done by the subject that is called Past Simple Tense

Affirmative

  • He was 20 years old.
  • She was in school.
  • She was at home.
  • That during he was fever.

But the answer will be yes or no.

  • Was she in school?
  • Was he fever?
  • Was I in school?

Wh Question Interrogative

  • Why were they with us?

  • He was not 20 years old.
  • They were not with us.

Past Indefinite Tense

When any work is done by the subject that is called Past Indefinite Tense.

Affirmative

  • I learned English in Delhi.
  • She played with her.
  • She saw him.
  • He said to her brother.
  • I told her mother.
